Cloisonné (French pronunciation: [klwazɔne]) is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects, in recent centuries using vitreous enamel, and in older periods also inlays of cut gemstones, glass, and other materials. The resulting objects can also be called cloisonné. – no, I didn’t know either! 😉
That’s something new to me too. This one belongs to the sub category of QHs with aptly placed patterns on the nose!
Love that mini e with the acute accent. It’s a lovely pattern
I didn’t realise the “e” with acute accent would appear like that, i.e. in mini format but I like it so will keep.
I think I’ll have to create an “aptly placed pattern on the nose” tag so we can see them all together! 😉
