I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, that as the postcard stash dwindles, I’m confronted by more of the postcards that I would usually just avoid. I have always had a phobia of drawing furry animals as they just turn into a scribbly mess, so if it weren’t for this 365 challenge I’ve set myself, I would never have even thought of attempting a pair of kittens.
Glad that I did though. I wasn’t too happy with my scribbles at first, but after the merge the piece came together quite nicely, the original card lending some flesh to the messy scribbles.
Which brings me to the title of the postcard which, translated from Romanian means “Next to you, every moment is a miracle”. Very apt.
Adorable! And it’s always so interesting to read the back-story. This 365 thing takes us in all sorts of different directions – have you still got loads of cards to choose from?
Love the way you’ve drawn the kittens’ chunky paws.
You can’t go wrong with cute kittens and now we know another (maybe only the one!) Romanian phrase, all very educational!
