I really liked the coloured collage effect I achieved with my last piece and wanted to do it again. Even though it took absolutely ages, I was absorbed through the whole process and the end result was mesmerising to look at.
This one comes from the same set of nature cards that we last saw 10 cards ago, in which the photographer seems to have only been to Botswana and Madagascar. To be fair, there is a lot of wildlife in both places so an in-depth study of either of these places certainly merits a whole postcard set in my opinion.
This time around the greys came from an older edition of the Evening Standard, so I’m afraid I can’t provide references for you to recreate them this time, so you’ll just have to hope these arrive in the post.
I’ve just noticed now that it’s online that the Ear of the middle elephant under the sun is really well formed in my collage. Feeling very chuffed with myself
Loving the variety in your 365. Is that a blow-pen sky?
Indeed it is. It was the perfect tool for the sky
Just right – fun to use aren’t they?
A great combination of different techniques to create a real masterpiece.
I love the style you’ve been using; this is one of my favorites.
