030 – Sunflower mirror interlude

By 16th February 2017Mailart

When I started this parallel 365, I thought it was going to be hard sourcing post that I could send without having to pay for my own postage, but I find myself in an enviable position (for mailartists anyway…) of having LOADS of post to send out with postage already paid!

As a result, Elena is completely swamped with colouring requests and has a backlog to catch up on. I have to send this one in the morning though, so I have had to draw and colour another quick interlude to the alphabet and place it in the sequence. Hopefully, normal service will resume soon.

Stripygoose, you’ll be pleased to see every single colour from the set being used here

Yes I spotted that and it’s really effective. Nice job and I don’t know how the composition came about but I like it a lot.

The composition came about due to my aversion to drawing symmetrical faces! I took a face, drew half of it then thought the other half would look nice on the envelope too, especially as the first half was lacking an eye.

I was initially going to colour in watercolour, but these medium brown envelopes are really flimsy, and that’s when I noticed the blow pens. They were perfect for the job
